Residents of The Villages at Rancho El Dorado can take their exercise by doing laps in the lap pool or just relax and have fun in the larger pool.

 

The following rules apply to all pool facilities at The Villages at Rancho El Dorado:

• Use of the facilties is restricted to The Villages at Rancho El Dorado residents, lessees, and approved visitors only.  The Villages at Rancho El Dorado Homeowners assume responsibility for themselves and their guests.  The number of guests per household shall not exceed six at any one time.
• There are no lifeguards on duty.  Swimmers may swim at their own risk.  It is recommended that no person should swim alone.  An adult must accompany children to age 12.
• Running, diving, jumping and inappropriate behavior leading to personal injury or property damage is prohibited at all pool facilities.
• Water toys of any type are prohibited, except for inflatable arm devices for small children, noodles (one per person), life jackets for children or handicapped persons, and swim boards for exercise in the lap pool.
• Association employees may close all water facilities if there is threat of an electrical storm.
• Children who are not toilet trained may not enter any pool at any time.  Children in diapers are not permitted in any pool at any time.
• No suntain oils are ever permitted, but waterproof, greaseless lotions and sunblocks are permitted and encouraged.
• Smoking is not allowed within the pool enclosure.
• No glass containers of any type are allowed within the pool facilities.
• Only non-alcoholic beverages may be consumed in the pool facilities.  Intoxicated persons will not be allowed in the pool facilities.
• Appropriate swimwear is required for swimming in all pool facilities.  Street clothing or cut-off jeans shall be prohibited.  Nude or partially nude swimming is also prohibited.
• Pets, other than assistance animals, are prohibited in the pool facilities.
• Management shall have the authority to schedule special pool events for pools upon request.  Timing and length of such events shall be at the discretion of the management.
• The lap pool is reserved for exercise, lap swimming or water walking.  Persons must share the lap pool for the various forms of exercise.
• "Water walking" will be permitted only during non-peak usage hours.  If a lap swimmer requests a lane during non-peak hours and all lanes are occupied, water walkers shall share one lane.  Lanes may be used for periods not to exceed thirty (30) minutes unless no other person are waiting.
• No music, other than the music originating from the recreation center speakers, or scheduled water classes is allowed in the pool facilities.  Televisions or other entertainment devices are prohibited.
